The Kent Denver Robotics program has been the pinnacle of my experience at Kent. Not only do we construct complex systems as teams, but we do so using an iterative, industry standard design process used by professional engineers. Robotics teaches not only skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, but also in leadership, teamwork, time management, and public speaking. Over six years, I have helped construct many iterations of robots for six different games, each one offering different challenges to overcome. In five of those years, my team qualified for the world championships, and in three of those years, we made it to the elimination rounds of our divisions. Through large amounts of dedication, hours of work, and supportive mentors, the robotics program has won more awards than I can count.
